Silpada Fundraising Event Thursday August 25th

Jo Carlson, a Silpada jewelry rep, has agreed to donate all of her proceeds to Chain of Hope! Let's make this jewelry party huge!

Then...I need some ideas for this event peeps...

1) A good/free location (it's in August so I'm thinking we need to be inside? Or at least in a heavily shaded outdoor area

2) Ways to advertise (besides fliers)

3) Places that would be willing to donate a little free booze/food. I'm willing to pick up the remainder of the cost.

4) Then...I will need help making decorations. I'm picturing having tons of poster boards/pictures of dogs everywhere with descriptions/stories of each dog.

5) I've made a 5 minute movie on movie maker so I need to get my hands on some AV equipment??? Projector anyone?

I know we're a ways away, but let me know if your'e interested in helping.

I also made a movie on movie maker, lol, but I am having trouble converting the song I want playing into the correct format, I need a converter! I think the best way of advertising is through facebook. Caitlin can send a message to every 'link' about the event so you know they will see it. If we are on the news this summer, I don't know if they could mention it at the end of our story too?? I love making posters and decorating, I am in on helping with that! As for the free booze...I'm not sure about that one, it would just depend on where we have it. If we have it at a venue, maybe Boulevard would donate?

Happy to help as well. This is good stuff, I have a friend who sells it and have seen a lot of what she has. I don't know of locations but will ask around. I like doing posters and that sort of thing so would be happy to help with that. Sounds fun!!

Can't wait to see your movie Ashley - you've worked so much on that. It's going to be awesome assuming I can see through my tears once I hear the song start to play. More than welcome to have the silpada party at my place. 1700 square feet should do it. THANK YOU for setting all this up!!!

Britney! Let's try to play our movies at events? We need to get our hands on a projector...We'll have two, which is awesome! Quick question. How did you get a song uploaded into your movie? I purchased an mp3 file of a song but can't seem to get it imported? It keeps giving me an error saying it's invalid or corrupted? Any ideas?

I downloaded this free converter because the song I have is from Itunes. But when I converted it, every 30 seconds during the song it say DEMO! I am going to talk to my friend who is really good with this kind of stuff. I put mine in the MP2, I think...lol I am terrible at this kind of stuff.

Britney & Ashley, I have a projected that hooks up to a laptop at work that I can borrow anytime. Just give me enough advance warning and I will bring it along!
